Scientific Content Producer (Hybrid/Remote)

Are you a creative scientist with a passion for science communication? Do you thrive on translating scientific concepts into engaging multimedia content? As a member of the Custom Content team, the Scientific Content Producer will translate complex scientific concepts into engaging and high-quality video and written content for our clients. The Scientific Content Producer will be responsible for the entire life cycle of projects, from conception, drafting, developing, managing, editing, proofing and publishing. Given the breadth of the role, you must be confident being on camera to present and interview scientists, as well as have a proven track record for writing scientific technical pieces.
This role is ideally suited for someone with a strong video production and writing background who wants to establish themselves as a subject matter expert within the digital scientific marketing space.
This is a UK-based, hybrid or remote working role.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Video content production:
o Oversee the end-to-end video content production workflow including scripting, moderation/hosting, editing and promotion.
o Stay up to date on the latest video trends to ensure continuous improvement and expansion of our video content offerings.
o Create best practices documentation to support video production across LabX Media Group
• Written content production:
o Research and develop high-quality custom written pieces (e.g., articles, eBooks and infographics)
o Translate complex scientific ideas and concepts into high-quality, custom content.
• Work closely with our graphic designers and video editors to create visually appealing, scientifically accurate pieces.
• Adapt style and tone to match customer need and client expectations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a changing and deadline-driven environment.
• Develop relationships and manage communications with scientists, clients and colleagues.
• Write engaging promotional copy for landing pages and social media.


Experience Requirements

Required Skills:
• Comfortable on camera as host, moderator and interviewer.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
• Communicate well with a remote team.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities.
Education & Experience:
• A degree in biology, chemistry or related discipline (a PhD is preferable but not required).
• Experience hosting video content.
• Experience with academic and non-academic scientific writing and editing for different audiences.
• Adept at interviewing and communicating with scientists.
Additional optional experience:
• Working in a client-facing role.
• Scientific marketing.
• Working with a remote team.
